The symbol – which is a diamond that include the letters “THC” with an exclamation mark above it – is in black for edibles and in red for all other types of products.

The red symbol also contains the warning: “Contains Marijuana. Keep away from Children.”

The symbol must be in use for all retail products by the start of 2019. Until then, there’s an “optional use period” for companies, according to a press release from the division.
