I set my expectations pretty high for the edible review of Robhots Megadose 500 mg gummies infused with THC distillate. A quick read of the Robhots website states they are “a gummy company first” and that “Since we infuse them with distillate they have no real hashy or “green” aftertaste…”. This sounds like a recipe for success!
The first flavor I tried was Blue Raspberry (blueberry & raspberry). These are also available in Strawberry Banana and Pineapple Tangerine. Packaging is nicely done, a nice and clean looking outer box containing a hard plastic child proof container.
Inside were 10 rectangular gummies – 5 red and 5 blue, each bearing the newly required THC logo imprinted. A single Robhots Megadose contains 50 mg of THC for a total of 500 mg in the container. Obviously, only experienced patients who need larger doses should use these gummies. For this edible review a single Robhots Megadose gummy was perfect.
The gummies smelled nice and fruity and there is no noticeable aroma of cannabis found in many other edibles. This is nice for those who need to medicate amidst others and do not want to draw any undesired attention. Mine were stuck together inside the container as one big multicolored lump, but I managed to pull most of them apart easily. 2 of the pieces requiring some actual ripping to separate.
I popped the bite sized gummy into my mouth letting it sit there and dissolve, filling my mouth with a pleasant berry taste that was actually pretty good. Dare to say the Robhots Megadose was looking like one of the best edibles I have reviewed! But alas, within 30 seconds the taste changed entirely, that delicate berry flavor giving way to the typical hashy aftertaste just like any other non-distillate containing edible. This was disappointing, as they market the product as having “no hashy aftertaste”, which mine clearly did.
After further experimentation, I think that the best approach to eating these is to just chew them 3 or 4 times then swallow them; any more will release the aftertaste that you probably were trying to avoid by buying these in the first place.
Luckily, these gummies do pack a nice punch. Effects came on within an hour and they were nice and clean. My nerve pain was suppressed relatively well, and I was left neither jittery nor sleepy for the next 5 hours or so. On the medicinal side, these are terrific little gummies that can help you return to normal activity. I believe these work well enough that most people would deal with the taste. Add in the low price per milligram and these are a great buy. I would definitely recommend these to anyone needing a higher dosage edible.
