I am a huge fan of the Bay Dream strain and was happy to review it. Bay Dream is one of the few Sativa dominant strains that doesn’t cause me any anxiety.

As with any strain, go lightly when testing and make sure you are happy with the results. With Bay Dream, a little goes a long way so try it in moderation!

Strain Details

Bay Dream

Bay Dream is the love child of the legendary Blue Dream and Bay 11 expertly bred by Grand Daddy Purp. The growers at Altitude Organic Medicine (Platte) have taken these genetics and produced some mighty fine results that you are sure to enjoy!

The Look

A beautiful tempest of dark green and deep purple intertwined with streaks of fuzzy orange, these dense little clouds are clustered with trichomes perfectly complementing the Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” visage.

The Smell

A nice slow inhale immediately brings out the old familiar lemony pine freshness, with an added twist of fermented grapes and sweet raspberries. These fruity notes conjoin with with a low smoldering earthy aroma making this strain deliciously complex.

The Taste

As I was expecting, the piney-citrus assault was on right out of the gate, followed immediately by a sweet berry smoothness like foam on a latte. The exhale was that of grilled lemons, leaving behind a tangy citrus aftertaste.

The Feels

Most Sativas cause me way too much anxiety so I usually tend to avoid them entirely except when sacrificing myself in the name of science. Thankfully, science has bestowed upon me on rare occasion a Sativa that sits outside the box and makes it a keeper. Bay Dream is one of those rare anomalies.

Within the first 5 minutes I snapped into an instant focus and clarity of mind without the hyper aware jitteriness” I typically get with most Sativa dominant strains.

Bay Dream is an excellent strain for exploring the great outdoors! Energetic (but not to the point of jumping out of your skin), and no dry mouth or eyes to deal with when hiking the trails which is a grateful relief!

Get things done

At home, this strain’s energetic yet calming focus is great for getting things done around the house, albeit not in the typical sativa-neurotic hurricane kind of way. This would be a great strain for ADD/ADHD as it really helps cut out the chatter and let you easily stay focused on the task at hand.

Hopefully your task is not in the kitchen! I was overcome with a ravishing hunger and ended up with a sandwich creation that would make Shaggy and Scooby jealous!

Pain Relief

As far as pain relief, there definitely seemed to be a magical line running through my torso defining the coverage zone. It performed admirably north of the rib-cage but didn’t really seem to help my lower back pain as well as an Indica dominant strain.

That’s ok though, this will go awesome with a nice potent Indica like Blueberry or Hindu Kush and provide a complete full body experience.

The Verdict

Overall: I am a huge fan of this strain. It is one of the few Sativa dominant strains that doesn’t cause me any anxiety! As with any strain, go lightly when testing and make sure you are happy with the results. With Bay Dream, a little goes a long way so try it in moderation!

The quality of the cannabis grown at Altitude Organic Medicine (Platte) is outstanding, and this strain is a perfect example. Perfectly dried and cured, this flower packs aromas and flavors that goes surprisingly well with a quality cup of coffee. Next time you are in the area, check them out! I m positive you will thank me later.
