Is this a top of the line grow kit? No, but nothing in the kit feels overly cheap. There are even upgrades usually not seen at this level such as an LED that uses top-tier Samsung LM301 Diodes. It even comes with a decent digital programable timer.

The Tent

The tent features a nice space saving design due to its rectangular shape while still providing ample room inside to grow your plants. Measuring in at 48″ x 24″ x 60″ with an observation window and an inner floor tray. As with every other grow tent o the market, the interior is covered in reflective Mylar.

There is nothing fancy about the tent, but it is sturdy and should hold up well enough for many uses. The zippers on many grow tents are not that great, and this one is among them. However, if you use caution and zip slowly, you should never have an issue.

The poles are sturdy enough to support an appropriately sized LED for this size tent and are powder coated to prevent any rusting. Holes in the top, bottom and sides provide ample ventilation and are closeable via drawstring.

The VS1000 LED grow light provides high-energy efficiency of 2.75 μmol/J and is dimmable. For a budget light, the specs are actually decent and should work very well. If you decide to upgrade later, you can always use this one as supplemental lighting.

Besides growing cannabis, these tents are also excellent for growing all sorts of vegetables indoors. I have multiple tents this size covering a wall that I use only to grow veggies and herbs.

Judging this bundle for what it is, a relatively inexpensive basic grow kit, it is definitely worth it for the entry level grower to pick up one of these. If your budget is a little bigger, there are some attractive options in the next tier – mainly more powerful lighting.

Overall, this setup works perfectly well for growing a few plants. The LEDs are top notch and should provide your plants all the energy they need without busting your electricity bill. The timer is actually pretty good and allows you to set a program with up to 20 different schedules.
