Cannabis Infused Buckeyes – Chocolate and Peanut Butter with a kick!

Here’s a classic peanut butter and chocolate candy recipe upgraded with a cannabis infused twist! These chocolate covered peanut butter balls are made with cannabutter making them one of the most delicious ways to medicate! If you want a stronger version of these treats, try adding cannabis oil or cannabis distillate to the peanut butter mixture before blending.

  • 6 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup cannabutter, melted

  • 4 cups (24 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (infused or not)

  1. Using an electric mixer (or by hand) slowly combine the peanut butter, sugar and melted cannabutter until smooth and thoroughly mixed.
  2. Roll into 1-inch balls and set aside
  3. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and the coconut oil together on low heat, stirring well until melted.
  4. Using a toothpick, stab each ball and dunk ¾ of the way into the chocolate, leaving a bare spot on top. Set on wax paper to cool.
  5. Once you have dunked all the balls, place them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  6. Enjoy!

Makes about 6 dozen 1” balls

I made these and like everything else I made with cannabutter it has too strong a taste. Is there a way to hide the grass flavor when you make edibles? My butter is always dark green and kinda stinky and that smell and taste turns me off. I was hoping peanut butter would hide it better but it dont. Do i need to try a new butter recipe? Does coconut oil make a difference? Help! I really want to make my own edibles but they so far all taste bad as the butter does. A useful answer will make me… Read more »

Hi Joey, I am not sure how you are preparing your cannabutter but I can tell you that if you water cure your flower first before using it to make your butter it will have way less of that smell and taste that you are trying to avoid. You could use this method to produce a much cleaner coconut oil infusion as well which would also work in this recipe. Another option would be to use regular butter and add some cannabis distillate or other relatively clean extract to the mixture if it is available to you. You can find… Read more »
